Plus In Boots is no more

Mrs T : 25 April 2009

The first email I get from Plus In Boots is to tell me they are closing down! To be honest I have never heard of them but that is possibly a failing on my part. Or it could be a reason they are shutting down, no one else has heard of them.

It is with regret that we have to inform you that PlusinBoots will soon be closing its doors, both virtual and physical.   Therefore we just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all our customers who have been very loyal over the last 5 years and let you know that this is the last chance to buy our fabulous calf width boots in 6 calf widths.   Everything must go and you will be able to find boots from as little as £50.   Once its gone its gone, so make sure you grab a bargain and a little bit of fashion history.

This UK company which is located in Dorset (UK), sells some very nice boots so it's a shame it is no more.

I would assume its the cost of getting the boots made. In general it can cost almost double for the leather in a wider calved boot but curver women dont want to pay double for their boots so the margin is much smaller which is why wider calved boots are not main stream even though there is a lot of women like us out there.

If my readers had heard of plus in boots, they would have been all over it - INTERNATIONALLY. I've been looking everywhere for wide-width boots to fit 24 inch calves, and it looked like they had them. Alas, I never heard of the place until today, either.

This is the one area that most plus clothiers CAN fix themselves: promotion. We need to know about you. You can do it without spamming people, too - send a news release, always have a mailing list and use it once a month, and be generous with pictures, etc. I'd love to see more plus size retailers and retailers that also offer plus do some television advertising. I think it would actually really impact their sales!

Wow, this is so hard to find! I was just searching the web for extra wide calf knee high shoes and could not find my size ANYWHERE! I'am a 24 inch calf proud BBW that is tired of wearing sneakers! I love to wear fashionable clothing, but it does not go with SNEAKERS! I have never worn heels in my entire 22 years of life, and not being able to wear shoes makes me feel so left out! I hate seeing gorgeous footwear that will NEVER fit me. If any of you know where to get boots that would fit me, please let me know. Thanks for reading! :)

Roomy Riders offers equestrian outfits

Are you finding it difficult to find something to wear for your equestrian interests? Well look no further as Roomy Riders come to the rescue.
